A status hearing in Jennifer Del Prete’s case has been rescheduled for May 7 at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Chicago.
The hearing had been set for tomorrow.
Yesterday, prosecutors and defense lawyers submitted an agreed proposal on the conditions for Del Prete’s release on bond. U.S. District Court Judge Matthew F Kennelly will need to approve the conditions before the former day care worker can be released, after serving nearly a decade for a murder she said she did not commit.
Last Monday, Kennelly ordered Del Prete be released from prison while the courts address her claims, which could take years.
